
Chris Bishops Pro ET car

Chris and Paul have now embarked on a new project and are currently building another car, I'll update this page as and when I get Pictures and information.
Split Decision has been sold as a chassis to Matt Seamarks (Gingerman junior dragster) who is currently building the car up with a Chevrolet small block engine.
Built over the last couple of years by Chris Bishop and Paul Shaw. (2007-2008)
Based on a 1958 Ford Anglia 100E.
Chassis
Full C.D.S. tube chassis with intregated roll cage,SFI tagged to 8.50. 98 inch wheel base.
Body
Heavily modified steel and fibre glass body, rear wheel arches relocated 6 inches, front wheel arches moved 2 inches. Front end, doors and bootlid moulded in fibreglass. Interior is completely paneled in aluminium,
Suspension, Steering and Brakes
Front
Custom made Ford Capri Macpherson struts with Ford Escort geometry, Wilwood Discs and four pot caliper brakes, Rack and pinion steering.
Rear
4 link with coil over damper suspension, panhard rod. Wilwood four pot calipers and discs. twin Wilwood master cylinders with adjustable balance bar.
Simpson Parachute
Axle
Narrowed 9 inch ford fitted with Strange Engineering spool and shafts, 4.3:1 Strange Engineering Gears.
Custom made Prop shaft.
Transmission
Full race spec TCI Chrysler 727 automatic Transmission with reverse shift pattern, fitted with CRS carbon fibre shield.
B & M 3000stall torque converter.
Wheels
Centerline all round 15x10 rear fitted with Hossier stiff sidewall slicks and 15 x 3.5 front fitted with Hoosier front runners.
Engine
Mopar 360 ci overbored and stroked to 408 ci (6691cc), Eagle steel crankshaft and H beam con rods, Diamond 11:1 compression pistons,Sealed power rings, Melling high volume oil pump and Milidon oil pan and windage tray. Lunati 0.518" lift flat tappet camshaft and lifters. Custom made timing cover to allow access to the adjustable Milidon gear drive. Edlebrock aluminium heads, Harland Sharperoller rockers. Holley Strip Dominator single plane manifold fitted with Holley 750 CFM double pumper carb. Tubular exhaust manifolds with 4 into 1 collectors.
Various items have been fitted to the car to speed up the development process, Afr Meter, on board camera, two way radio between Chris and Paul.
Perfomance at the end of first year in Pro ET 9.97 at 133 mph.
